MEET MARISA

My name is Marisa Dizonno and I am an undergraduate student at Iowa State University studying mechanical engineering and Spanish.  I enjoy playing soccer and the great outdoors.  I have a passion for engineering and our environment so I hope to be able to one day combine those interests and see what can happen.

ENGINEERING BACKGROUND

I am currently studying mechanical engineering with a minor in Spanish. As of right now, I have completed all of my engineering coursework outside of a few technical electives and my senior design project.

I have successfully completed 2 summer internships and 1 co-op throughout my time at Iowa State. My first professional experience was a co-op with Altec Industries, Inc. in Dixon, CA where I worked as an EHS Manufacturing Engineer in their final assembly factory. After that, I interned with Pierce Manufacturing Inc. in Appleton, WI as an Aerial Engineer where I designed parts for aerial firetrucks. The following summer, I interned with Honeywell Aerospace in Minneapolis, MN as a Mechanical Engineer on sensors, guidance, and navigation for various military and space aircraft applications.

This portfolio consists of most of my engineering work throughout my schooling so far including projects, homework tasks, final reports, and many pictures / videos documenting my projects.
